Let’s dive into our step-by-step skincare guide to help you fall in love with your skin again.
Step 1: First Cleanse
The first cleanse in your routine is about helping to melt away makeup and remove the surface layer of dirt, pollution and toxins from the day. For this initial cleanse, we recommend using our award-winning Cleansing Face Balm. The 100% natural formulation prepares your skin for a deeper second cleanse.
Skin Type: Suitable for all skin types.
How to use: Simply apply the balm to all areas of the face, including around the eye area, before removing thoroughly with a muslin cloth or flannel. Skin should feel cleansed and refreshed, but not stripped, dry or tight!
Frequency: Daily
Top Tip: You can also use the cleansing balm to remove eye makeup.
Step 2: Second Cleanse
With your skin halfway through its cleansing routine, it’s now prepped for a deeper, more thorough cleanse. This is where a water-based cleanser is vital, such as our >Fennel & Cardamom Chai Soap Bar. It can penetrate the skin further, removing impurities deep within the pores, thus helping prevent breakouts, build-up and spots.
Skin type:
- Oily or combination skin: Fennel & Cardamom
- Sensitive, dry, or dehydrated skin: Cinnamon & Ginger
How to use: Dampen face and apply soap bar with a little water to lather.
Frequency: DailyStep 3: Exfoliate
With your skin thoroughly cleansed, you’re now prepped to exfoliate! Our face exfoliators help to buff away dead, dry skin to reveal fresh glowing skin underneath. Regular exfoliation helps to prevent buildup and spots.
Skin type :
- Oily or combination skin: Herbal Face Scrub
- Normal or dry skin: Citrus Face Scrub
- Sensitive skin: Floral Face Scrub
How to use: Our oil-based scrubs should always be applied to damp skin. Make sure to shake the tube to ensure the oils are mixed, then squeeze out into the palm of your hands. Apply in circular motions, leave a short moment, and then rinse.
Frequency: Both body and face scrubs can be used 2-3 times per week.
Step 4: Tone
With your skin now cleansed and exfoliated, it’s time to give it some love! Our Face Toner is perfect for hydrating and soothing skin at home or on the go. It is made with hydrating residual water of green mandarin fruit, a by-product of the juicing industry, as well as skin-soothing chamomile stem extract, a by-product of the tea industry. Plus, it is also enriched with hyaluronic acid to plump and brighten the skin.
Skin Type: All skin types, including oily and acne-prone skin.
How to use: Apply to fingertips or cleansing pad and gently sweep over the face. It can also be used as a mist – spritz over the face at any time to revitalise.
Frequency: Twice daily
Top Tip: Carry this toner around in your bag for bursts of hydration throughout the day.
Step 5: Eye Cream
Before you apply your moisturiser, it’s a good idea to give your eyes some extra care. Our Eye Cream is great for firming, brightening and protecting the delicate skin around your eyes. The maple bark extract is rich in antioxidants and Vitamin E, helping to protect skin through high levels of ellagic acid. The caffeine-rich coffee oil will help to reduce puffiness and dark circles and make eyes shine.
Skin Type: Suitable for all skin types.
How to use: Press the pump once to release a small amount of eye cream onto your fingertips. Dab onto the delicate eye area and allow the cream to soak into the skin.
Frequency: Twice daily
Step 6: Moisturise
You’re nearly finished with your skincare routine now, but these last steps are crucial. First up is moisturiser! As a general rule of thumb when moisturising, use the lightest, water-based products first when layering your skincare. Our Face Moisturiser has cocoa butter and aloe vera to soothe and nourish the skin.
Skin Type: All skin types, including oily and acne-prone skin.
How To Use: Apply with fingertips, massaging in upwards and outwards motions.
Frequency: Twice daily
Step 7: Hydrate
As the final step in your skincare routine, use an oil-based, water-free serum to deliver intense nourishment and hydration. Through a combination of linoleic-acid rich oils and vitamin C, our Face Serum helps to promote the production of collagen, keeping skin supple.
Remember that just because it is oil-based, does not mean that it is not suitable for oily skin. In fact, many of our customers rave about how much it has helped to improve the appearance of their acne. Read more about why your oily skin still needs oil.
Skin Type: All skin types, including oily and acne-prone skin.
How to Use: Apply a few drops to damp skin with fingertips, massaging in slow circular motions.
Frequency: Twice daily
Top Tip: Spend 30 seconds slowly massaging the serum into your face. A facial massage will help to relax tension, improve blood flow to the face, and can help to make skin glow!
