Earth Day is on Monday - one of our fave days of the year!
This April was also the end of the financial year so we’ve just finalised our Corporate Social Responsibility Report for 2023 and figured Earth Day is the BEST excuse to share it with you all.

The plastic would not have otherwise been removed without our funding; multi-layered plastic has no commercial value as it cannot be recycled. Our Plastic Negative certification empowers waste-workers with a fair wage as well as economic subsidiaries, health insurance and access to a dignified and inclusive workplace.
The campaigns included the “Business without Blood Sport” pledge which promises that we will never allow, promote or otherwise enable blood sports. We also handed over our platform to members of the LQBTQIA+ community to speak on the topic of how to create safe spaces. We took part in a beach clean in Brighton during Plastic Free July - plus so much more!
Now with a full time staff member in a new product development role, one aim for 2024 is to better spread out our product launches.
We’re hoping to further grow the team in 2024, particularly our sales and content teams.
For the first time, in 2023 we felt a noticeable shift. People know us now, they know the brand, the products, the story, they know the pioneering nature of what we do.
We need to continue to grow our customer base, but our hard work is definitely paying off and we feel we’re definitely out of the start-up phase and cruising (albeit bumpily) into the growth phase of UpCircle’s journey.
Each year that we’re able to share a report like this we feel increasingly lucky. We couldn’t have chosen a tougher time to try to launch and grow a business, but this only makes each of our successes feel even more hard-earned and rewarding.
It’s not been easy, but we’ve worked tirelessly over the last year to reach profitability and improve efficiencies across all areas of the business.
We hope to continue growing steadily and responsibly next year.
