ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic NPD team and gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of skincare innovation. You will support the development of new products from concept to launch, working closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly and align with our sustainability ethos.

Job role is available to start immediately. The role is part time, 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in planning and tracking new product development projects, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met on schedule.
Support the sourcing of ingredients by liaising with suppliers and managing the logistics of sample collection and evaluation.
Conduct detailed market and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities, and compile insights to support the development process.
Monitor testing schedules, including stability, compatibility, and efficacy tests, by coordinating with third-party laboratories and the Head of NPD.
Maintain and update detailed documentation of product briefs, formulations, testing outcomes, and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Work closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure that new product initiatives align with UpCircle’s brand values and strategic goals.
Assist in drafting clear and compelling product descriptions, claims, and packaging copy under the guidance of senior team members.
Provide general administrative support such as scheduling meetings, preparing progress reports, and ensuring effective communication among project stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

A strong passion for skincare, sustainability, and innovation, with an understanding of current trends in the beauty industry.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative in tasks.
Familiarity with cosmetic regulations, testing requirements, and ingredient compliance is desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience using project management tools is advantageous.
Previous experience in NPD, formulation, or the beauty industry is desired but not essential.
