UpCircler, what an incredible year it has been! We launched no less than 17 new products - including our first in the Haircare and Eau de Parfum categories. Our team has grown to 20, we successfully did our 2nd out of home marketing campaign, and we recently won £250k in advertising spend from the Sky Net Zero Fund. You’ll be seeing UpCircle on a TV near you in 2024!

All of these fantastic opportunities wouldn’t be possible without all of the customers who trust and love our sustainable products. So to each one and every one of you - thank you for believing in UpCircle! 

From the very beginning, when we founded UpCircle, our top priority has been making sustainable skincare at an accessible price point. We also value leading with honesty and transparency, which is why we’re sharing that starting 1st of January, our prices are increasing by an average of 5.5%. Not all products are changing in price, and this is, on average, only £0.62 per product.

This time last year we wrote to you about record highs in inflation and the cost of living crisis. Whilst the rate of inflation might be falling, costs are still rising in every area of our business, from ingredient costs to paying fair and living wages to our employees and workers, to the costs of energy and transport and to the ever-changing face of British manufacturing post Brexit.

As a small business trying to build a different future for this industry, it means our margins are extremely tight. We try very hard to make the most out of every penny we get. In order to keep our business going, we need to be profitable. Ethical, sustainable and Fairtrade products and supply chains cost more, but we are not willing to compromise our ethos and we’ve been working hard to keep these price changes to a minimum.

We know this news is tough and disappointing, so we want to give you plenty of time to stock up on your favourite UpCircle products before this takes effect.
